Mark has a long history of rod ownership which includes the V8 Austin A30, a NATS burnout competition winner, VW based Model A truck and the V6 Triumph Renown, all of which were eventually sold to Bob. His workshop also built the amazing NATS '06 transport trike.
Mark is still planing and collecting parts for the Humber. He is also now collecting parts for an Opel Kapitan circa 1957 for wife Tracey. The plan is to use all the running gear a 960 Volvo Estate. 3.0 24V with 4 speed Auto. The Opel is very rare in this country and although solid, it is not quite in the condition of the brochure car above.
Like most rodders Mark has a number of builds up his sleeve, so he is also aquiring parts as and when they are to cheap to miss, for a Trike (V8) , A 50's period traditional roadster, a Nissan turbo powered Cortina Mk2 2-door, a Sierra 2 door van,and is now preparing a track day XR4i Sierra. Latest aquisition is the Chevy Suburban with a 350 engine.
Suburban has been sold, Sierra 2 door van is finished and in regular use.
I had a visit to marks workshop this morning (15-09-10). It looks as if the opal has been started.
