1936 Morris 14
The morris on it's first club night outing since passing it's MOT, seen here with Graham's Morris
Engine is now fitted and the car is back together, MOT was passed last week and it is due for it's first pod outing before the end of the month, weather permitting.S
Instead of changing cars every year it now seems the plan is to change engines. first out on the street with the 4L inline 6 Rolls Royce and two turbo's until one day the engine said enough and stopped working so in went the inline 6 Jaguar engine. this time no turbo's but more power from the much more modern unit. Pete has now found laying around as you do, a 4L Jaguar XJR this is the 4L supercharged unit. this could be fun, look forward to seeing it back on a road near you and almost certainly on the strip at pod.
He made it. well nearly. yes it was running and driving at the NATS. but not rearly finished. Next deadline is to try and make a pod run this year as part of their street car challange. good luck pete.
The problem if you can call it that is the amount of power available from the new engine, the front bed and brakes looked feeble so a Jag front bed was found, (bigger brakes) to replace the cortina one. a rollcage is also being added, A new ECU was purchased to run the beast, it drinks so much that at 4000rpm the ECU has to turn on a second fuel pump to keep it feed.

Pete seems to have a different roadgoing project each year. In the past few years I have known him to have a V8 Minor, chopped Rover P4, Zephyr V8 and a Ford Torino.
It's been a 5 year project so far, but out now in 'barn find' style is Bobs old unfinished / unstarted Morris 14
Twin Turbo Rolls Royce 4 litre, 6 cylinder , not your typical rod engine, but then this is not your typical rod.

Pete had the car at Skeyton Goat show (he won best goat). I overheard a woman saying they should take cars away from people who do this sort of thing. Excellent.
A couple of shots from our May club meet showing our exclusive Morris section.
