The Rover was bought in 1991 with the intension of restoring but after many trips to the states is seems that the hot rod bug hit.
A PDF copy of Julians photo album
as with most projects it was much bigger than the original plan. so in April 2003 Julian also bought a little run around
A 1968 Buick GS 400. having been imported from Texas in the May 2002 this is a matching numbers car, 400CID and 370BHP gave it a 15.54 1/4 at the July 06 Mopar Nats
and a Top ten the next day with tyre rubber still up the rear fender.
Now back to the Rover. Built in 1948, this 75 P3 is no longer a matching numbers car, That did not stop Julian & Dawn showing it off at Royston Hall.
Fully rebuilt chassis & shell now running a 327 Corvette motor through a 5 speed T5 Manual. It runs on a Wisbeach IFS with Jaguars IRS,
this along with the highly polished Jaguar wheels and re-covered Jaguar interior makes this one very nice Rover P3

The plan is to build a Foose inspired P2 Rover, this time a 4 Light 1948 75 Sport. Body work will include a 2-door conversion, rear axle will be another Jag IRS and power will be supplied by a buick 455 driving through a Hydroturbo400 gearbox.
